Iskareen and Haspa Hamburg Cross the Finish Line

Following a tough fight with light wind conditions in the English Channel and North Sea, Iskareen (at 07:49am UTC) and Haspa Hamburg (at 08:27am UTC) crossed the finish line in Cuxhaven this morning.

With just a bit more than half an hour difference on the water, both AAR yachts arrived in sunny conditions with good wind: Iskareen reached the finish line under G, Genua and Code 0 with north-northwesterly, 9-13 knots of wind, while Haspa Hamburg benefitted from slightly more puffy wind with 10-15 knots.

Both sailing yachts will make their way to the AAR Race Village today (Wednesday, July 25) for the Mahatma Gandhi Bridge Opening at 05:00pm local time this afternoon. Join for welcome drinks to greet the crews, when they finally reach land again after more than 16 days out on the water - more information is available at the AAR Facebook Event page. Entry to the AAR Race Village is free of charge.
